24 weeks = 6 months = viability!

Although we do not want baby girl to arrive any time soon, 24 weeks is considered medically viable!  She is now about a foot long, head to toe....and 1.25 lbs!  By this time next week it is estimated that she will weigh 2 WHOLE POUNDS!  Grow baby, grow!!  Wow.  I read today that my uterus is now the size of a soccer ball.  No wonder it's starting to get difficult to get up off the couch...and I've found myself rolling out of bed :o)

The other day I thought I could see a dark line on my belly.....I asked Jon if he could see it and he said no....well, yesterday my sister said she could see it, and I didn't even ask her!  SO, apparently I've developed the linea nigra.  It's not as dark as the one in that photo....and I'm hoping it stays that way!  Weird...

I had an appointment on Tuesday and everything seems to be going great.  My blood pressure was good, 120/80.  I've gained 4lbs in 4 weeks.  Yikes!  This seems like a lot to me.  My doctor was not concerned at all.  Last month I only gained 1 lb.  Total in 24 weeks I'm up 9 lbs.  I tried to explain to Jon that a girl goes her whole life trying not to gain weight....so knowing that I am supposed to be gaining weight, that it is actually expected, is a hard concept to get use to.  I got to hear her heartbeat, as always....she was moving around so much that the doctor had to keep moving the doppler :o)  Over all, another uneventful appointment.  Next week I'll be going in for my glucose tolerance test.  Let's hope I pass!

On another note, allergies are killing me!  I thought I had a cold, but now I'm sure it's allergies.  Luckily my doctor told me what I can take....hopefully it kicks in soon, I'm miserable!

OH!  And we ordered our crib and glider yesterday!  I am SO excited!  Jon's parents bought us the chair and ottoman that I had picked out and I can't wait for it to get here!  It's SOOOO comfortable and is going to be perfect in her bedroom!

And my wonderful mom bought us our crib!  It's so cute and will be just adorable with her bedding!

They should be here in 7-14 days!  I can't believe that we have baby stuff in our house.  It's unreal :o)
