Live in 3D!

On Thursday we spent out 4th wedding anniversary getting a sneak peak at our baby girl!  We had a 5PM appointment at 4D Miracles in Fremont.  Let me tell you, they were so great!  The package we chose was supposed to give us a 30 minutes 3D/4D session, but baby girl was NOT being cooperative!  So...our 30 minutes turned into an hour....and THEN the woman told me to go out and come back in 45 minutes to try again!  We didn't leave our 5PM appointment until almost 8PM!  After first try, she tried again for about 45 more minutes.  I guess Carly was an exceptionally stubborn baby...she was moving and kicking me like crazy, but barely moved her little hands from in front of her face the entire time.  That's okay though, I am very happy with what we got and highly recommend this place.  Oh, and they confirmed for us, again, the she is in fact a girl :o)  I've decided that a fourth (yes 4th!) confirmation should be good enough!  I never mentioned it before, but I had another 3D ultrasound a couple of months back because I was just so unsure....I would NOT suggest this place.  Seriously, NEVER go here.  The guy was a creep and it was trashy and gross.  At this time it was only place available...because I HAD to go that very second :o)

Here are a few of the better pictures.  We could see her blinking, yawning and even sticking her tongue our a couple of times!  She's very squished in there :o)
I think she's got Jon's nose, lips and chin :o)  And...in a couple of pictures I'm thinking I can see his ears....good thing he's cute!

Since our 30 minute appointment lasted nearly 3 hours we decided to skip our anniversary dinner.  I think we'll go out tonight.  Next year baby girl will be celebrating with us!

On another note, I had my 32 week appointment on Friday.  It went well....nothing major to report.  My blood pressure is great at 112/78.  My weight is up 2lbs for the month!  I was shocked and pleasantly surprised to see that.  I believe I'm up a total of 19lbs at this point.

One thing that made this appointment different than any other?  There was no power in the building!  I walked in and the lights were completely off...and the elevators were shut down.  Their office is on the 3rd floor!  Asking pregnant women to climb 3 flights of stairs first thing in the morning is crazy!  Anyway, I made it....and was greeted by a receptionist with a flashlight.  Needless to say it was interesting :o)  I am now on the every 2-week appointment schedule....for the next month....and then it's every week until she gets here!  I'm so excited!

  1. Awww how beautiful! That's so funny and reminded me that Ava was cuddling with her placenta through the entire thing...I was grossed out, but she's so cuddly now that I think it's funny!

  2. So adorable! Ryan did the same thing...covered his face the whole time. I'm glad they let you stay a long time to get a good picture. I can't wait to meet Carly in person!
